Got some hardware yesterday! On the software front I decided I won't rely on NLE waveform analysis, too fluky. Even Resolve can't do it flawlessly: Syncing by sound in Resolve is frustratingly bad, at least for me. Pluraleyes compatibility doesn't exist and Syncaila is pretty expensive. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to get the built in syncing to actually work? For reference, I'll put the files into PluralEyes or Syncaila Trial and they will sync 100% no problems. I do the same thing within Resolve and 3/4 of the files won't sync. ( source ) So I'll go with the "batch processing before import workflow". The harware dongle will be tentatively named GNSSvidsync and the python utility gnssvidsyncer . On another news: updated the blog header... Do we really have to read all those pages explaining what is DF vs NDF ? WTF.
